The first thing you have to do if you are going to create email marketing campaigns that make money is start building a list. This is very easy to do if you have a website and use an autoresponder.
The autoresponder will have a web form you can create from their website. When you plug this code into your site you will either a block of text with a form that will allow someone to sign up, a popup, or an exit popup depending on what options you chose.
Then, when someone signs up they will be put into your list with your autoresponder. You can set up as many messages as you want in your autoresponder to automatically be sent to your new subscribers. Once it is set up your work is done.
The second thing you need to do is realize that you cannot over promote to your list. Three messages a week maximum is a good rule of thumb unless you are giving away a free 5 day course or something like that.
The last thing you have to realize is that if you continually promote to your list without providing any real content for them you will lose readers very fast and end up losing subscribers. You have to give them some content.
It is easy to give them content anyway. Just go to a free article directory and find a good article or two a week to recommend that they read. You could also give them a free eBook download as well.
